Rony Barrak is an internationally acclaimed Lebanese percussionist, composer and arranger who has transformed the Darbouka from a traditional Middle Eastern instrument into a powerful voice on the world stage.

His musical journey began instinctively at the age of four and quickly took him from Lebanese television to an extraordinary international career. After moving to London in 1990, he studied orchestral percussion and drum kit at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, developing a unique musical language that bridges Eastern heritage with Western classical, jazz, fusion and contemporary music.

Over the years, Barrak has performed and recorded with renowned international artists and orchestras, appearing at some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including the Bolshoi Theatre, Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House, Barbican Centre and Philharmonie de Paris. As a composer, he has created major symphonic works including Beirut Sensations, Phoenicia and Boulder Sensations, performed internationally across Europe, the United States, Armenia, China and Russia.
